ART & D.T

Art and Design Technology are taught throughout the school.  From Reception onwards children are encouraged to make careful observations, to evaluate their own and others' work.  They learn skills such as print making and working with clay so that they can use these and make choices about the best way to present a project when they are in upper KS2.  We believe that lessons such as art and music help to develop the whole child.  We hold creative work in high esteem.

In September 2003 we held our first Arts week, when normal lessons are suspended and the Arts formed the whole curriculum.  This now takes place every September in our school.
