SCIENCE

Science is the third Core Subject.  Mostly this is taught through Topic work.  The emphasis of these lessons is on practical work and is made as relevant as possible to the child's own world.

Miss Jones is our Advanced Skills Teacher for Science and Mrs Eynon our Science

Co-ordinator.  The Science policy was updated in 2002/3 and we have been working hard over the past two years to develop as an ECO School.  In May 2004 we gained our first Green Flag Award.  This year we have received our second Green Flag Award.

We have developed a Conservation area in the school grounds which, in addition to providing fun and enjoyment, enables us to teach many aspects of the curriculum in a relevant way.

We also have a poly tunnel in the grounds and the Green Club has constructed a garden from their own desig which was a competition winner at the Three Counties Show.
